Putin was caught off balance after the Maidan protests and after we had brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine.
Scott AdamsHOST
28:15
So listen to this for example.
Scott AdamsHOST
28:18
In 2014, which is when the Fauci pardon went back to, which is when the Biden pardons went back to, 2014, this is when Victoria Nuland and Jeffrey Pyatt and everybody was knee-deep involved.
Scott AdamsHOST
29:33
That's exactly what happened.
Scott AdamsHOST
29:35
Here's a little taste of that.

the protests in the Maidan and Yanukovych then fleeing after we had brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine.

Michael WeissHOST

Michael WeissHOST

Served in Kyiv Station after Euromaidan in 2014.
Michael WeissHOST
43:22
Served in Kyiv Station at a time when CIA, and this is now open source reporting thanks to my friend Adam Entous at the New York Times, was putting in the plumbing with the Ukrainian services, particularly military intelligence, which has been responsible for recruiting Russian assets, doing deep strikes into Russian territory, and all other things we probably won't know about until years down the line.
Michael WeissHOST
43:43
CIA officers serving in Kiev from 2015, 16, 17 on, they were hit, not in Kiev, but when they went somewhere else, or their spouses who were also with them in Kiev got hit somewhere else.
Josh MoonHOST
3:44
I've always held this position that I like both Ukrainians and Russians, and I consider this a catastrophic waste of human life.
Josh MoonHOST
3:50
I don't particularly care enough about the subject of the Iron Maiden revolts or the classical arguments regarding linguistic speakers versus heritage of what territory belongs to whom.
Josh MoonHOST
4:07
But I very much dislike this thing that Trump has done, and I'll try to keep this concise because I know nobody cares, but...

What do you think, Kyle?
Kyle AnzaloneGUEST
60:02
I would, I guess, only add a little bit of nuance to Zelensky's election because after the Euro-Maidan, the coup there that the U.S. backed, it was Poroshenko who ultimately, or Yanuk Poroshenko, and Zelensky, Zelensky was elected in 2018, and a big part of Zelensky's entire selling point and why he got elected by the Ukrainian people was he was going to actually make a deal with Vladimir Putin and bring an end to this war.
Kyle AnzaloneGUEST
60:37
Not the war, but the ongoing war in Ukraine at the time in the Donbass.
Kyle AnzaloneGUEST
60:42
Kiev called it a war on terrorism.
Illia PonomarenkoGUEST
45:17
We started, started, um, understanding this as something very normal, something very, um, very good to aspire to.
Illia PonomarenkoGUEST
45:27
So, uh, I'm, I'm not sure if, if I had this in my book, but, um, there was a, in days of early days of Euromaidan revolution, it was late 2013 in Mariupol.
Illia PonomarenkoGUEST
45:37
Yeah, in Mariu- in Mariupol we had a little rally in support of, of, um, signing this association agreement with the European Union.
Illia PonomarenkoGUEST
45:44
And I remember myself leading a small crowd of my friends, students, and also a couple of lecturers, and all holding this European flag and moving through U- um, Mariupol avenues.
Andrea ChalupaHOST
3:47
That is a reasonable guide for unreasonable women.
Andrea ChalupaHOST
3:50
And we're using this book launch to raise money, much needed funding for our friends at Rosam for Ukraine, one of the superstar humanitarian aid groups in that was born out of the popular uprising of Euromaidan that sent Ukrainian Trump, Yanukovych, running, fleeing into Russia, where he's been in exile ever since, waiting for our Trump to join him.
Andrea ChalupaHOST
4:11
And I know you're seeing the news out there.
Andrea ChalupaHOST
4:13
It is just, once again, we're having those big news cycles where everyone is reminded what Gasset Nation has been saying since the jump.
CannConHOST
38:16
Before we go to Saudi Arabia, there's a lot more on Ukraine because President Trump is coming out and just going to war as well.
CannConHOST
38:23
But when you look at a place like Ukraine, Ghost, and your point about the EU, I mean, going back to the Maidan and the Orange Revolution, that was part of the objective in the Maidan was to overthrow not Poroshenko, Yanukovych, in order to usher Ukraine into the EU.
CannConHOST
38:43
Obviously, that never happened despite favorable regimes to the West coming in after Yanukovych.
CannConHOST
38:49
But Poroshenko and then ultimately Zelensky.
CannConHOST
43:38
Mm-hmm
Gordon McCormickHOST
43:38
... gangsters who were working with, um, Robert Maxwell in the '80s, who fled to Israel, who worked with Netanyahu and the Likud Party to launder money out of Ukraine into Israel, into the Credit Suisse, and then into the United States.
Gordon McCormickHOST
43:54
Uh, and then those guys, when the Maidan coup happened, they plugged their, their s- foot soldiers into the government to run it until Poroshenko gets plugged in through, through that fake election in June of 20- 2014.
Gordon McCormickHOST
44:06
So all of the whole thing is connected.
ColinHOST
17:43
The Ukrainian people started protesting that their prime minister had decided to make a pivot to Russia.
ColinHOST
17:49
And what they did is they called those the Euromaidan protests.
ColinHOST

He was, uh, involved, as you, as you just said, with Saakashvili in Georgia, very much involved in Euromaidan in Ukraine, so he's heavily pro-European and is someone who should at least attract, uh, people who are scared of Mélenchon but do not want to vote on the right.
Gavin LeeHOST
2:38
You've just hit upon a, a fascinating second part of this for somebody who's following, thinking, okay, we're six months from the French election.
Gavin LeeHOST
2:44
There was two things going on, wasn't there? There was the vote for the leader, but there was also a kind of referendum as to whether to bring back the, the alliance that appeared in 2024, the so-called NUPES, the New Popular, uh, Front Alliance, whereby you had the center-left going right across the range all the way to, to the hard left, as you say, Jean-Luc Mélenchon and France Unbowed.
