Eurocities

My name is Katrina Sickle, and this episode focuses on housing and asks, how can Europe make it more affordable and climate resilient? Joining me in the studio today is Anna Iafisco.

She's Policy Advisor on Housing and Just Transition at Eurocities, the largest network of European cities, where she leads European advocacy on housing, energy, poverty and social inclusion.

Welcome and thank you for being here, Anna.

Hi, lovely to be here.

The case of Clichy-Batignolles in Paris illustrates this very well.

It's an eco-district that combines social, intermediate and private housing with a major public park.

Anna, Eurocities is a great support in helping advance those climate adaptation strategies.

What can you bring to the table in answer to this question about our readiness for extreme weather conditions? I'd like you to comment on air conditioning.
