Eureka Downs

But you're going to be traveling when you're all in, so we're like, get you in now.

Yeah, I'll be at Eureka Downs in Kansas that Friday, so...

What are you going to be doing at Eureka Downs?

I'm filling in as a chaplain at a horse racetrack.

Wow.

Thank you for doing that.

Yeah.

So you're going to be at Eureka Downs.

I'll stop doing that.

Uh, but, uh, Mike Weiss is now the general manager of Eureka Downs.

Yeah.

Horse racing returns to Kansas for the first time in almost two decades.

Yeah, it was supposed to open this year, and then, um, they got delayed in building the facility, so it got pushed to next year.

But, um, that should hopefully open next year.

We're introducing new racetracks, or in Eureka Downs' case, a racetrack that used to exist, stopped racing, and has now been renovated and brought back.

And so those are good signs that we're seeing here.

So if you like betting on the ponies, you probably know by now that Gillies and Park City is your place to go.

But it has also been announced... that six days of live racing, horse racing, scheduled for Eureka Downs in Eureka, Kansas, over three consecutive weekends.

I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not, but if there's any horse racing fans out there in south central Kansas, Eureka is welcoming back racing at Eureka Downs for the first time in some 18 years.

The weekends of October 17th and 18th, 24th and 25th, and October 31st, November 1st are the back-to-back-to-back weekends that Eureka Downs will have horse racing.

Racing in Eureka goes all the way back to 1872.

And you South Central Kansans maybe know that, and your horse racing fans for sure know that.

But Eureka Downs is being resurrected, and those are Saturdays and Sundays.

The dates that I gave you.
