Eurasian oystercatcher

Welcome back to Birds of a Feather Talk Together.

This week we're talking about the Eurasian Oystercatcher, and there's a little bit of a family connection behind why we picked this bird.

John and Shannon's son recently moved to Northern Ireland, so Shannon wanted to choose a bird that he might actually be able to see while he's over there.

And we landed on the Eurasian Oystercatcher, which is an incredibly fascinating bird.

These birds are striking, they're loud, and they do some things that really set them apart from other oystercatchers.

We get into all of that, and we also take time to talk about some of the other oystercatcher species found around the world and how they compare.
