Like, Eugene Mirman used to do a joke, um, that I thought was great joke.

W- I'm sure it's on one of his specials, where, um, where Stiles is Michael J. Fox's best friend, and he goes, he finds out he's a, he's a wolf.

His friend's a wolf.

[laughs] It's so insane.

And [laughs] Eugene Mirman has to get full credit for calling out the insanity of that era of movies.

Yeah.

And in a way, we're changing it again today with one of the most unpredictable people that we know.

There was a line years ago that Dimitri Martin said about Eugene Mirman, another friend of ours, and said that he's the only man in the world w- wouldn't change your idea of him if he started wearing a cape, and I would say Paul Foot is another of those people.

The start of his day is absolutely sensational.

And it was me and Eugene Merman and John Benjamin, voice of Bob from Bob's Burgers.

And then Nathan came one night to do a bit with John Benjamin.

And then we were all going out, having a nice time, having a drink after the show.

And even now in this moment to think that there's so many people I know who have moved out of this city over the years, who were vibrant parts of the comedy community.

And not just the comedy community, but New York in general, but have left and have left either for Los Angeles or, yeah, think about somebody like Eugene Merman, who was, you know, to take that word pioneer, a pioneer for comedy.

you know, a lot of the Brooklyn comedy community and comedy scene and to think about a place like Union Hall and how that now there are so many people that I see who are taping specials and recording albums at Union Hall.

Yeah.

Um, John Roberts can make anything funny.

Eugene Mirman can make anything.

A- Yeah ... all these people can make anything funny.

Yeah.
