What is the source? So if you Google, like in this instance, Eucharistic miracle, light beam, you want to go hyper-specific, Molfetta, Italy, you're going to see that the only things that are floating around on this are is Facebook groups, Catholic Facebook groups.

I'm using air quotes because we don't know.

And they're copy pasting the same caption.

Just a short walk from the historic center, this is another church that many visitors overlook, but is one that made Ferrara an important place of pilgrimage for more than eight centuries.

The Basilica of Santa Maria in Vado.

While it may not have the fame of Assisi, it is home to one of the Catholic Church's oldest reported Eucharistic miracles.

The story dates back to Easter Sunday in 1171.

The story is that prior Pietro d'Averona was celebrating Mass, and when he broke the consecrated host during the Eucharistic prayer, blood suddenly flowed from the host and spattered in the vaulted ceiling above the altar.

No misinformation here.

And this week, guys, I am thrilled to be joined by Sean McAfee back on the show again, this time talking about his fantastic new book on Eucharistic Miracles, the Compendium of Eucharistic Miracles.

Guys, like myself, Sean is a convert to the Catholic faith.

We have very similar backgrounds.

We met ages ago on our own conversion journeys, guys, and he's here to talk about these Eucharistic Miracles, the times when what Catholics believe about the Eucharist, that it is the real presence of Christ, actually becomes Eucharistic.

Those blood miracles, right? These other miracles where the Eucharist is preserved from danger or destruction or levitates or does all these kind of incredible things that, as Sean explains in this show, really serve to confirm that the Eucharist really is what the Catholic Church teaches that it is.
