Eternal Flame

But let's play some of it anyway.

It's the Eternal Flame.

Close your eyes, give me your hand.

Do you feel my heart beating? Do you understand? Do you feel the same? Is this burning an eternal flame? I believe it's meant to be.

Darling, I want you when you are sleeping.

You belong with me.

Manic Monday was also in heavy rotation on MTV.

It was the breakthrough hit for the Bangles, and they went on to have years of chart success, including the smash hits Walk Like an Egyptian and Eternal Flame.

Now, the Bangles and Prince performed the song live together on October 20th, 1986, at Avalon, Hollywood, with Prince singing and playing the tambourine.

And following Prince's death in 2016, an official version of Manic Monday was posthumously released with Prince as the primary vocalist.

I couldn't care less about 50 Cent, right? And so I went over to the Bangles and they were singing Eternal Flame, you know, the classic...

And everybody held up their lighters in the air, as they still do, I guess, probably, if they hear the song.

Yeah.

With Eternal Flame.

Bette Midler from the Beaches soundtrack gave us Wind Beneath My Wings.

She did a great version of that.

Coming up at 10, of course, we've got Mike Marwick.
