ESPN Zone

I've seen videos.

That jump rope one, they had it at, like, ESPN Zone at Downtown Disney.

Every time we went in there before it shut down.

RIP.

I am someone unburdened by memory, as I tell you all the time, but I remember where I was.

Um, I was doing a radio show for ESPN at the time, and we were at the ESPN Zone.

I think it's on 11th Street.

It no longer exists.

Was there anybody else with us, or was it just the three of us?

Well, we were in the radio studio, but there were a number of people working in the restaurant at the time.

And just for old time's sake, can I correct you and say it was the ESPN Zone, not the ESPN Zone?

Was that what it was called? I thought-

And welcome back to New York.

There's the ESPN Zone where many college football fans will gather, hopefully to watch us as we talk about what's going on in the day.

Earlier today, we talked about the Michigan Wolverines.

With one loss, did they still have a chance to play for the national championship? Did they lose early enough? I think we all agree, run the table, and they do have a shot.

We'll be over it soon.

You know what? I just we just went through the security Disney over by what I guess it's what is it? Lululemon now, the former ESPN zone.

And I was saying I didn't know that it's a Lululemon now.

I'm pretty sure.

Remember, they were like, we're building this weird-looking hotel.

It's going to be right by the monorail.

We're closing ESPN Zone, Rainforest Cafe, and the movie theater.

And then the city was like, no, you're not doing that.

Well, they didn't demolish.

They had plans to demolish EM- uh, ESPN Zone, and the Rainforest Cafe, and the, uh, uh, A- AMC Theaters.

AMC Theater.

Which they did, in fact, demolish.

Hold on until I write this feature spec script.

Speaking of Anaheim downtown Disney restaurants that have since been shuttered, ESPN Zone.

I never made it to an ESPN Zone.

So I went as a child in New York City Times Square.

And...

Wow.

New York City.

ESPN zone.

The ad hung with him.

He told me a story when we sat down that he gets engaged, and he's at Disneyland, and a- at some point they were at ESPN Zone with his family, and they look up, and there's the ad all these years later playing on the TV-

... at ESPN Zone.

Right [laughs].

He's, he's trying to start a family, and meanwhile, Alex is still watching him.
