Esher RFC

I absolutely loved chatting with Jingles because he is a student of the game, somebody that takes it really seriously.

He's very sort of self analytical, and I see a lot of myself in him in that regard, and I certainly learnt a lot from him when I was playing, uh, with him at Esher Rugby Club.

Alongside that, in this episode, there's a load of funnies from the early academy days and his time in the Championship at Cornish Pirates and then Esher, and latterly moving into coaching, and there is a ton of great coaching lessons in this as well.

And the YouTube channel is still going great guns, and the Nations Championship will, will, will be back with us soon, so get over there and subscribe.

If you're one of the few who hasn't listened to that episode yet, then I urge you to go and give it a listen ASAP.

But my guest this week is James Inglis.

Jingles and I were teammates at Esher Rugby Club, where I learnt from him what it meant to be a, a really serious rugby player.

This interview was recorded in December of 2019, and he told me what it was like to be one of the very first academy players in the UK and the challenges of spending years striving for Premiership Rugby.
