Escape Plan

yeah.

All right, next up for me is 2013's Escape Plan, which I know you watched recently.

I did.

I feel like The Hunter and Escape Plan, there are certain movies that, at this point, in his career, Sam Neill is recognizable enough that it's like, oh, this is gonna give us a little bit of gravitas by having him in this small role.

Absolutely.

So yeah, I haven't seen Escape Plan since the press screening in 2013.

Yeah.

Do you have anything to say about it?

Victory! Victory! Escape to victory! The great escape...

The Great Escape Plan to victory.

Escape Plan,

Stallone.

There's a quick moment in the very...

He started doing The Expendables movies, so it's like he can make a new franchise.

He did that Escape Plan movie, which shouldn't have been a franchise, but it was, the first movie was at least fun.

Yeah.

We got him, it got him and Arnold together, and that was fun.

I forgot the name of it.

Escape Plan.

Escape

Plan.

Yeah, Escape Plan.

I fucked with that.

Yeah, Escape Plan was excellent, and that was on the boat.

That was an excellent fucking movie.

I- it's not worth-

He's also in Escape Plan.

Ozark.

I think he's the bad guy in that movie with, uh, Arnold and, and Sly.

So casting Sylvester Stallone was considered for the Terminator, but declined coincidentally a year after James Cameron wrote Rambo first blood part two with Stallone helping with the script.

And also there was that famous, you know, competition between Stallone and Arnold and their successful action movies who would win in a battle Rambo or the Terminator and Stallone later worked with Arnold on the Expendables movies and Escape Plan in 2013.

And in Last Action Hero in 93, a scene features a video store cardboard cutout of Stallone as the Terminator as a little inside joke.

Could you see Stallone as the Terminator? I can't.

Although, for some actors, I want to say, just a little parting thought on this, is they've played so many characters in English, even with their accents, that it's almost bizarre when you hear them speak their native tongue.

Like my favorite, Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he goes into, I want to say, Escape Plan with Stallone.

He speaks German in there.

And you're like, whoa.

That is weird.

I have never heard him speak German.

Watch Escape Plan.

I mean, it's not a good film.
