You know, my favorite position to put somebody in is in a half kneeling 90-90 position.
50:46
So like if you were getting your soccer photo taken when you're in sixth grade, so you go down on one knee and then take a dowel, like a broom handle, and put it over your head.
50:58
Stack your ears over your shoulders, your shoulders over your hips, and just stand up from that 90-90 position with your arms overhead because that exposes thoracic tightness.
51:15
So, Katie, it's a great thing to do with your young triathletes.
51:19
As soon as they put their hands over their head with a dowel, you want to see the position of their head and their ears and do their ears go in front of their shoulders.

Is there some way of self-testing our mobility to see where we could work on?
15:54
Yeah, you know, when it comes to, a lot of people think they have tight hamstrings.
16:00
We have to look at the origin of the hamstrings as they connect and interact with the pelvis.
16:05
So they attach on the backside of the body at a place called the ischial tuberosity.
16:13
And that can be pulled into an anterior tilt, the pelvis.
16:18
And I think we all know that tight hip flexors or an anterior tilt or being stuck in an anterior tilt is a root of the problem.
16:29
So if you stand and you look in the mirror and you think about your pelvis as a bowl of soup, if you're gonna spill the soup out of the front side of the pelvis, Then you're going to feel tight hamstrings because if you're watching this and you can see me, the pelvis is tilted towards the front because you have tight hip flexors.
