A sense that, like, these feelings are, are not very far off the surface, and it doesn't feel like it was 25 years ago.

I think the most interesting thing I've read this morning, it might have been Erick Erickson, uh, forgive me if I'm misattributing, but he said, like, how long should we be doing these ceremonies? How long should we keep feeling the way we feel on this day? And he pointed out that there was a ceremony for the 50th anniversary of Gettysburg in which the veterans came back, and they embraced.

Uh, but there was just a recognition that 50 years, this still mattered very much to the men involved in that.

And he pointed out that in, over in the United Kingdom, people still wear red poppies around what to us is Veterans Day.

And it's not just because I'm fighting off a cold, a sense that these feelings are not very far off the surface, and it doesn't feel like it was 25 years ago.

And I'm going, my gosh, Eric has been with the site for 10 years.

Yeah, people just associate it with him and that's it.

They just run with it.

Plus lefty as he is, Eric Erickson, come on.

Last night, today is the anniversary of Kirk's death.
