I was wondering if you could share that and perhaps talk about why you wanted to share that with us tonight.

So page 17 of the book Letters to Young Lovers says, He, Satan, is busily engaged in influencing those who are wholly unsuited to each other to unite their interests.

He exults in this work, for by it he can produce more misery and hopeless woe to the human family than by exercising his skill in any other direction.

and that quote is important because what i kind of wanted to circle back around um to why sometimes we make bad decisions in relationships and many of us have heard my grandmother said it my mother said it and i've heard many others say it that love is blind yes and what we have found is that in fact love really is blind um it when you think you've fallen in love it actually affects your brain that feeling of having a crush They've done brain imaging studies and it shows that romantic love activates the brain reward circuit, the dopamine system in the brain.

Dopamine is that same chemical that people take cocaine to get the high from.

And what happens is because of the way that the brain responds to just a crush.

Now, this is before physical intimacy.

What is the remedy and how do we get to what God's ideal for us is? What was God's ideal?

repeat that again? That was fantastic.

Well, the deeper and closer to truth the church is, the more the devil wants to come after that church.

Right.

And so you have to think, if you were the devil, how would you do it? And one of the ways you would do it is to plant seeds in the church.

Hence, Jesus gives a parable of the wheat and the tear.

And what happens to a lot of us is that we want to be wheat, but when a tear injures us, We leave the church.

And when you leave the church, you literally join the ranks of the tear.

What would you say, Dr. Eric, for people that have been hurt by hypocrisy in the church that are perhaps feeling this way? What would you tell them?
