Eric Roy

I think a few, a few people thought that they might struggle this year.

I think, you know, losing obviously Eric Roy in the way they did in the summer and even the, in a way, the gamble of bringing in a kind of inside man to replace him, which doesn't always go well.

I was a little bit worried.

I still think they've got the players to stay up, but I was worried that, you know, that change after a very successful coach, you often see it, that something about the coach and the club just click.

And as soon as that coach leaves, the club totally loses form.

And especially, obviously, the tragic death of Eric Roy.

I thought it might... affect the club so I was really pleased to see them start the season well and although they've had a big bit of a dip um you know I hope they avoid any kind of relegation fight this year

yeah I think actually but Brest's underlying numbers are really good right so if you look at kind of the expected points table I think they're in in the top six or so which suggests that actually their performances have been really you know really quite strong and I think they've still got that that same core, right, of those iconic players.

Yeah.

Not Eric Roy,

Eric? No, I think it might have been the season after we got Eric Roy.

I might be wrong on that, actually.

I think it might have been that season, but he wasn't involved.
