Eric Peterson

It is Summit League basketball media days here at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, and a guy who's genuinely glad to be here because the last time he was here, he was hoisting a trophy.

He's Dave Richmond, the head coach of the North Dakota State men, and you know, They typed this up for me today.

This is what I feel really good about.

It says here, four NCAA tournament berths, eight Summit League tournament championship games, the second fastest coach in NDSU history to reach 100 games, and the fastest in the Division I era.

Faster than Tim Miles and Saul Phillips.

So there you go.

go.

That's a good answer.

well you need money for that too well

it's just just a quick little side point to that talking to Eric Peterson the USD men's coach yesterday you know how it like it was a thing once every four years all these college basketball programs even the little shouldn't say little the mid-major ones the smaller division one schools would go to Italy in Spain we did a team building you know the NCAA let's just do this once every four years and Eric Peterson just said yesterday like yeah we don't do that anymore it goes to money it goes to NIL yeah yeah we can't we that's where that budget goes yeah um so that's a real thing again unless you have millionaires and billionaires that pick up every single tab and it's quite clear at north dakota state there's plenty of those and that's partly why uh they are

where they are a

you'll top out eventually and b do those people want to give money to to track to softball to baseball it's

For us, we're kind of like, what? Okay, here we are.

Eric Peterson, USD men's coach.

Yeah,

we play all year round.

We thoroughly, for 41 minutes, went through your team.

I was going to say brand new team, but it's not entirely brand new.

So back on June 25th, so Google happy hour, Eric Peterson, June 25th.

But it's been a few months.
