Eric Johanson

Moving on with, uh, uh, uh, I just like this following artist a lot.

I, I paid a lot of attention to Eric Johanson.

Uh, brought to my attention by, uh, Arden.

Arden said-- I called him one day and said, "I need somebody new." And he said, "Check out this guy, Eric Johanson." Johanson is, is, is a, uh, uh, Louisiana native, and he grew-- He was born in Alexandria, but he moved to New Orleans, uh, and, uh, graduated from the University of New Orleans as well.

And during Katrina, he lost everything.

Katrina took his house, his equipment, took everything away.

Big, big time.

And, you know, you hear him all over the place in Louis- Louisiana because he is that kind of an artist.

You remember him? In the meantime I'm going out to Cali Make my world to be loose, man.

We also need to finish up the cool 2021 album Covered Tracks Volume 2 by Eric Johanson.

I love that Johansson had enough material to make two albums of music that he personally loves.

I also like that most of them are favorites of mine as well.

I hope you like them also.

With a Neville Brothers hit, here is Eric Johanson with Yellow Moon.

They keep peeping in my window Do you know something Something that I don't know Did you see my baby Walking down the railroad tracks Can you see if she's missing me? Or if she's having a real good time? With your eyes so big and shiny, you can see the whole damn land.

Yellow moon, can you tell me, if the girl's with another man? Oh, oh, yellow moon, yellow moon, yellow moon, have you seen that creep? can tell me With your eyes so big and shiny, you can see the whole damn land.

Recently, I was going through past music, and I remember how well received this next album was, so I brought it out again.

I'm talking about 2021's Covered Tracks Volume 2 from Eric Johanson.

Now, I've had some incredible moments on stage and around musicians and music lovers, and sometimes the encounter is unexpected, such as when Janiva Magness asked me seconds before she went on stage to introduce her.

I was attending a concert at the county fair where a Marshall Tucker Band opened for Charlie Daniels.

Afterward, they gave us a tambourine, and it's a nice one.

The song was Can't You See.

Here with that song is Eric Johanson.

I'm gonna take a freight train down at the station, Lord.
