What made you decide to give politics a crack?
16:44
So I got reached out to by this lovely person called Bryony.
16:48
She lives in the eco village here in the Gold Coast and she, she didn't beat around the bush.
16:52
She said, Hey, I'd love to talk to you about running as a local politician or politician.
16:58
I probably heard local politician and I get random inquiries about random things all the time.
17:04
And so I sort of ignored it.

25 MINS LATER

42:23
But how did the reception from potential sponsors change after you said you were going after a Guinness World Record?
2:34
Mm
2:34
... wouldn't turn.
2:35
You would just run down this straight road for 42 kilometers until you'd set up camp at, at the next spot.
2:41
But as we sort of weaved into the towns, uh, I didn't have a set plan.
2:46
What I did was I leant on the community.
2:48
So I would put up on social media, "Hey, I'm running through Mackay, I'm running through Townsville," go- you know, "Gold Coast, uh, Blue Mountains." And the, the local running community said, "Hey, well, we've got this incredible trail.
3:00
I would love to show it to you." And they would come and meet me in the morning and run me through the prettiest, you know, 42 kilometers, with a general, you know, southerly direction.
4:09
So how, how did it look? Did you follow roads and footpath the whole time, or was it much more a choose-your-own-adventure?
