But at the same time, I say to myself, especially if coming up with a, a physically challenging villain was seemingly difficult for them to do.

It's like, Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, Doomsday, Conduit.

I mean, like, I don't know.

I'm just saying, like, if that really was such a challenge, it's like, no, I mean, there were, there were other characters to draw.

Were you disappointed that we didn't get an episode where we got to see what, uh, the annihilator was up to? A little bit.

I thought that I think it's the eradicator.

Um, so, uh, Clark is having these visions, and Lex also shows Waller the Eradicator, which is this big bad thing that he created out of Kryptonian DNA and put part of his brain into so that he could supposedly control it.

maybe i don't know but like stop doing this it's a bad idea it feels like a pretty reasonable first take on like hey i've created a giant kryptonian thing yeah yeah Which is basically Doomsday, right? Do these guys exist in the comics, or is this just a Doomsday? I assume

the Eradicator exists in the comics, but I didn't really check.

I mean, it definitely sounds like a

So that was really a bright spot.

But I found their version of Eradicator to be such a letdown.

And that unfortunately really kind of undermined my enjoyment of the back half of the season.

I do want to issue a disclaimer because I know as people are listening, they're like, oh, Anthony has notes about Reign of the Superman characters.

I knew it was going to be more about the themes and the characters.

So I did prepare myself and I held to that.

But even with that disclaimer, yeah, I still just felt like Eradicator in terms of characterization and design was just kind of all over the place and didn't come together in a compelling enough way, especially compared to Cyborg Superman.

Uh, w- who is, uh, Eraditrix? Is this, like, a character I should know about, or is this, like, a new thing that they just threw in at the end of the issue, uh, because there weren't enough things going on? [laughs]

I mean, Bruce did Doomsday, the first one, and it was just really impossible to say, oh, hey, here's Steel.

Whereas we have a framework now where we can introduce characters and there's some context.

All I can say about that is we're trying to stay as true to the feel of those stories, even though even two movies doesn't cover the whole story.

... and basically it's the, the Eradicator comes with, he, he's taken over the, he's taken, he's taken over the clone, and he's, he, he's, he's come here to fight everybody.

And it's basically the Eradicator and the clone versus the, the family of El.
