I know some of you are like, how does Compass sue an ERA president over a move? Well, Compass owns ERA now.

So Compass and ERA Real Estate have filed a lawsuit against former ERA president Alex Vidal, alleging that his move to lead rival franchisor Remax violates a non-compete and other restrictive covenant agreements.

In the complaint, Compass says several times that Alex was... compensated justly for the non-compete but the alex and i guess his crew saw the non-compete as a non-issue so in a separate filing supporting its request for a preliminary injunction compass asked the court to prevent varal from serving as president of remax or otherwise performing same or similar services for remax or other competing businesses Compass is also seeking a permanent injunction damages and attorney's fees and other relief.

The Delaware lawsuit follows an earlier battle in Texas.
