Epona

[laughs]

Uh, in addition to Navi, we learned about the origins of Epona.

My favorite.

Where, again, going back to what Mr. Koizumi, uh, uh, um, Koizumi was saying about Having this idea of a horse-

Right

... that he brought over, so they wanted to implement it.

Um, the first name that they had was Ow, being the name of the horse, and then they decided on Epona, which is the goddess of horses and fertility in Celtic mythology.

Yes, good name.

And the imagery Aldhouse-Green analyzes is mesmerizing.

You have Epona, the goddess universally depicted riding a horse or flanked by foals.

You have the Matres, the three mother goddesses holding fruit, bread, or babies, worshiped across vast stretches of Europe.

And then you have the Gundestrup cauldron.
