And that was really his defining thing in addition to the brownness of it would be the – the heteroglossia, the mini voices, you know, it's not just a story about, um, Achilles.

It's not just the stories about Hector, you know, it's, it's, um, it's not an epic of, uh, you know, Oedipus and high Greek drama.

It's, um, meant to show a scope of society rather than a singular vision or upper representative example.

Like it's looking at these sort of cycles of this and at least for Bakhtin's conception, sort of part of the novel's uniqueness is that it never fully coalesces.

It doesn't harden as solidly, at least in his time, and I would still argue today, into something as concrete as poetry as a genre.
