epagomenal day

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, one God, Amen.

Today is the Sunday of the Coptic month known as Al-Nasi.

The Coptic calendar, as you know, consists of 12 months of 30 days and a small month, which is this month of Al-Nasi, which consists of just five days, or in the case of a leap year, it's six days.

So there's only one reading for this month of Al-Nasi, which is this reading that we read today.

And as you can see, all of the readings from the Pauline to the Catholic to the Acts to the Gospel are all about the end of the world.

And so as the church approaches the end, the last week of the calendar, of the ecclesiastical calendar, the church calendar, so the church reminds us of the end of the world and the end of our lives.
