sup guys welcome back to another episode of meta startup you know we're gonna we've been doing the business section so far and you know we're on episode 17 but I'm gonna take a quick detour to teach you something a lot more complex in this video I'm actually going to be showing you how to build a complex website and you know I've been building a production grade website for one of our own investments called Ellune which is a cap table management platform and for now you don't need to think about what that is but I'm going to be building that and I'm going to be showing you the entire process from you know how I take it from mockups.com to Photoshop to Illustrator to using Envato elements to using Webflow, it's going to be a very complex tutorial.

So if you don't understand something, go back to my previous videos on Webflow to kind of learn the basics.

So this video is going to be for more advanced users.

So I picked up this image from Envato Elements.

And for those of you who don't know what Envato Elements is, it's this subscription based, you know, free graphics and audio clip platform.

I've seen creators literally post that their work was shown on Higgsfield's website without their consent.

So they've used, let's say, an After Effects template from somebody who's posted it on Envato or on their Instagram, and it's been shown as a marketing video on Higgsfield.

And later, I believe Higgsfield actually took it down so it's not the reason why he's saying man the irony is because this has happened so many times from hicksfield that when someone else has done it it shouldn't sound so bad but apparently to hicksfield it does sound bad

but this uh comfy ui guys keep going and saying that this couldn't be further from the truth which is that hicksfield made a promise to open source this product and never did For the past two weeks, builders have been recreating popular closed sourced app as open workflows anyone can run.

I feel like you're never going to be good at this.

Did you download that off Envato? And I'm going to need the license number.

Yeah, we can't play that without a license deal.

Yeah, you know, so I've been creating, I've been doing graphic design, video editing, video creation for over 15 years.

And one of the platforms I subscribe to is Envato.

Envato is a place where you can get stock imagery, stock video, that kind of thing.

And when AI surfaced, began to surface, Envato incorporated AI into their platform.

service what they what they offer and it was kind of like this seamless transition for me because where whereas in the past I would search for okay I need an apocalyptic scene right now specifically for me what I need is an apocalyptic looking Los Angeles But I'm not going to find something specific like that.

And I'm certainly not going to find something specific to what I see in my story.

I tried to find it for you.

I'm almost positive it's like they got it on Envato.

No.

Not Envato, but, you know.

Didn't I tell you? I went to this person's house for dinner a few months ago, and it was like a friend of a friend.

Someone made a brisket.

Did you

see that Envato, they sell the

Stream Deck modules? Like for OEMs, so they can put it in like keyboards and whatnot.

Yeah.

So that's the first thing, right? And when you look at a video, for instance, if they have flash burn, when suddenly the screen goes white or yellow and then it changes to the next scene, to do that effect, traditionally, you would then go ahead and find a YouTube tutorial, find out how to do the effect, and then manually do it.

or alternatively you would go to Envato and buy a template for that specific effect.

Now in music videos of Travis Scott, Drake, and 21 Savage, you have multiple effects mixed in together.

And the cooler the mix of these effects are, the cooler the music video was.

It's like, it's just AI can essentially generate assets.

So like when we were using Shutterstock or Envato.

Yeah, I mean, I, we're-

And the, the thing about them, the reason I like them is their licensing terms are really simple, in that, like, most, like, Envato and, uh, Epidemic, you have to, like, get per use credits for each thing, and you're supposed to, like, get the credit for each-

... you have to, like, download a license file, and you have to put stuff in your notes.
