And I guess you're, are you into Myers-Briggs much? Yeah.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:19
Intuition or thinking.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:22
ENTP or ENTJ.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:25
What are they doing more? An ENTP would have extroverted intuition.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:30
And since they're an extrovert, they would have it as their dominant function.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:34
An ENTJ would have extroverted thinking.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:37
Yeah, an introverted intuition.
Gabrielle CardonaHOST
45:39
If they're an extrovert, their extroverted thinking would be like breathing for them.
Matt DohertyGUEST
12:46
I'm beaten up emotionally.
Matt DohertyGUEST
12:47
And she said, after some small talk, she said, okay, your assessment came back and you're an ENTJ.
Matt DohertyGUEST
12:55
And I kind of laughed at myself.
Matt DohertyGUEST
12:57
I said, I've been called a lot of four letter words before, but never an ENTJ.
Matt DohertyGUEST

Matt DohertyGUEST
13:11

Matt DohertyGUEST
13:16
And she said only 2% of the population are ENTJs.
Matt DohertyGUEST
13:20

Rebecca MielkeHOST

Uh, and then episode 77, uh, lists each type's third function along with its wardrobe pattern, so you can go look that up and, and listen to that later.
Rebecca MielkeHOST
4:48
Um, so extroverted sensing, which is, like, about being in the moment, what's happening right now, that is the third function for ENTJ and ENFJ types.
Rebecca MielkeHOST
5:03
And so we, um, including myself, 'cause this is mine, uh, might wonder, "Will this outfit make an impact?" Then sensing, uh, used a- in the introverted form, which is more about processing sensory experiences, is, um, in the third spot for INFPs and INTPs, and they're gonna be wondering, "Is this too far outside normal?" Or they could be wondering that.
Rebecca MielkeHOST
5:37
Um, and then to complete the, uh, the perceiving functions, which are about how you learn, they're not doing any judging at all, um, extroverted intuition is the third function for ESTJs and ESFJs, and this is all about possibilities.
Helen TupperHOST
23:57
one
Sarah EllisHOST
23:57
that was popular, to your point of like the red thing, the old ENTJs.
Sarah EllisHOST
24:02
Because when we first started at work, everybody did do Myers-Briggs.
Sarah EllisHOST

So during that first round interview, you've got analysts and tech officers and linguists who are all sitting in the same room and they're all going through the same 25 questions, but then if they fit the behavior model of a CIA officer, then the person interviewing them will basically say, this person might be a good analyst, this person might be a good case officer, this person might be a linguist then the second round of interviews and this was this is dated 2007-ish right the second round of interviews is when you actually go through the personality battery which is two full days of personality testing and assessment what that does is it identifies would you actually be good at a case officer or a sue or a targeting officer or a tech officer would you actually personality wise be good at that job
Jihi BustamanteHOST
9:41
what about an entj asking for a friend
Andrew BustamanteHOST
9:45
So ENTJs actually make fantastic mission planners and really effective tech officers because the J means that you follow a system.
Andrew BustamanteHOST
9:54
But without a system, Js get lost a lot of the time.
Jihi BustamanteHOST
9:57
Oh, interesting.
Andrew BustamanteHOST
10:02
So they end up making very good case officers.
Andrew BustamanteHOST
10:04
But the Js, I mean, even if you think about it, just look at the metrics.
Andrew BustamanteHOST
10:08
ENTJs carte blanche, by a long margin, are the most successful people in America.

I-Hsien SherwoodHOST
8:38
And I'm glad you finally said it.
I-Hsien SherwoodHOST
8:43
