I believe this imagery is shown very clearly with the first story, mentioning melting five things together in a furnace, to turn it into one thing.

Help Wanted literally showing us a furnace with the FNAF 1 endoskeletons, with Ennard then appearing in front of it, with the novels then reiterating this same furnace method, and then the second story directly telling us about how five children were separated before being brought into one place together, and then later, in that very place, getting fused together literally into one body.

I will say there was a time where I thought maybe each of Candy Cadet's stories are about separate things, and symbolising different moments in the story.

Although not only can I not push past the fact that each story directly has five things that encounter tragedy and get stitched together in some way, but it also shouldn't be forgotten that Ruin and Help Wanted 2 both gave us new Candy Cadet stories that are all directly about the story of the game that said stories are told within, being very simply and easily decodable.
