Enlightened self-interest

The question is, how do we gauge our self-interest, right? And so I think that the, the culture that you and I come from is the idea that our values, you know, hold, upholding our values is in the national interest, and that the, the two are intertwined and, and when you try to pull them apart, you break a lot of things that should not be broken.
