At the beginning of your end step, if you gained life this turn, surveil one.

If you put a card with mana value less than or equal to the amount of life you gained this turn into your graveyard this way, put that card into your hand.

This is also an awesome card to get back with Extraction Specialist.

You attack with your Extraction Specialist, they probably block and kill it.

Even if they don't, Enlightened Confidant triggers at the end of turn, draws another card.

Your deck can also play the two and a white card with the 3-3 Legend that gains life whenever your creature comes into play.

So Enlightened Confidant is 1 the white for a 2-1 creature core cleric.

It has lifelink, and at the beginning of your end step, if you gained life this turn, you surveil 1.

If you put a card with mana value less than or equal to the amount of life you gained this turn into your graveyard this way, put that card into your hand instead.

But the reason you would consider running this is similar to Enlightened Confident, is that this is a card that wants to go in a deck that cares about life gain.

This card is for those decks that are just looking for cheap ways of gaining life.

It's great.

So these were for me, maybe the most exciting pillar for constructed play, and I took a lot of care.

I think we ended up with 13, um, that these cards would all be exciting and feel really appropriate to the original card they were riffing on, even though sometimes they'd be quite different, of, like Enlightened Confidant is also a one... a two mana, 2/1, but it has lifelink, and its stability happens end of turn, and it has this surveil hook.
