The OA team were also supposed to come across a rock formation near the ship.

Originally they would then find the space jockey here, albeit fossilised.

They originally also wanted to have a pyramid instead of a ship but the Fox executives decided it was just way too expensive.

The pyramid itself would originally have an egg room and hieroglyphics around it and this would discuss the jockey's religion and society.

We then lose contact with Ash as they explore the derelict and it looks very xenomorph like which itself plays into the biomechanical feeling of Giga's work.

The tunnels have a tail like look to them and you can see how the xenomorphs could hide themselves on the ship here as well.

Upon making their way into the cockpit, the team then come across the space jockey.

This of course has been massively explored in Prometheus, but I'm gonna say it, I say it all the time about Boba Fett, nothing is cooler than not knowing.

But like, you know, the, the whole, like, creation-destruction cycle of those films is so interesting in that it's...

And, and it's, the films are just constantly engaged in, like, creators making things that, like, make things which come back to destroy [laughs] them, you know? And that is the, the, you know, where, like, the engineers, these beings which a- we, we see an engineer in this film, uh, in, uh, you know, the Space Jockey or whatever.

Uh, in Prometheus, they, they deconstruct their DNA to make us.

We make androids.

uh but yeah i promise guys i will compliment the film i have but it's just i'm just trying to explain why am i give my rating later on that i give it yeah so they they do enter the ship and this being is discovered in the chair this we'll call it a space jockey because i believe that is a term coined down the years in the law of alien

Um, and with the, the, the Engineer's obviously another, I feel like very important, very special character to fans of the Alien franchise, just based purely upon the space jockey scene in, in Alien.

Uh, and there's always this mystery about it.

Now, when you came to play an Engineer, how much, how much were you sort of told and prepared for in terms of, as the Engineer's background and backstory and, and things like that?

Get in, get your stuff on

... well, the background was, was Alien.

As, as you say, the, uh, the space jockey, there was always that mystery of it.

I mean, the whole idea was an idea in Ridley Scott's head for 32 years before-
