Google's Project Suncatcher, which ultimately aims to put large AI installations into low Earth orbit, is preparing for a milestone event.

The company will be sending a teensy-tiny AI data center into space to see how it reacts to the harsh conditions.

Based on what Google has shown so far and people's distaste for AI slop, they may not be universally popular.

Quoting Engadget: "One of the notable changes coming to the device is support for a holographic avatar while taking calls.

Since calls via smart glasses mean the wearer's face isn't visible to whomever they're chatting with, this feature uses the Meta AI app to create a photorealistic hologram to display instead.

According to the press release, your hologram is driven entirely by your voice, and the hologram model infers your expression from what you're saying and how you're saying it.

And Shiny Hunters hackers say they have up to 3 terabytes of sensitive information about FBI employees.

It's Thursday, September 24th, and here's a quick look at some of the news happening in the sphere of tech this morning from Engadget.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese revealed that an OpenAI agent hacked into the public website of the Australian government's Medicare public health insurance system back in June.

Albanese said he spoke with Sam Altman, the company's CEO, to express the country's extreme concern about the incident.

In a report from May, the FBI said the hacking group exaggerated claims of access to sensitive or personal information to prompt payment from victims.
