Raccoons are relatively resistant and do not become infected with the fox strains.
Alan DoveHOST
87:17
When searching my EndNote database, I cannot, however, find the specific paper.
Alan DoveHOST
87:21
I found several others, probably from the same research group.
Alan DoveHOST
87:24
Rich suggested once to have a special twiv on rabies.
Alan DoveHOST
87:32
Perhaps you could invite Jane Smith if she's still alive.
Alan DoveHOST
87:36
And Aldo is, as referenced above in the Venganing and bio-veterinary research, um, uh, viral infections and pathology and the FAO reference center for foot and mouth disease.
Alan DoveHOST
87:50
Um, And your mention of EndNote kind of gave me a little jolt of trauma from grad school.
Alan DoveHOST
87:59
But yeah, a special twiv on rabies would be very interesting.

If possible, synthesize the approaches we came up with into a commentary on the Pesukim.
Matt SchneeweissHOST
2:01
In the same EndNote style you've done with translations, attributing specific ideas to specific people when appropriate and leaving them unattributed when they emerge from the group.
Matt SchneeweissHOST
2:08
Additionally, write a paragraph summarizing the overall approach we took.
Matt SchneeweissHOST

Go with whatever emerges as the best takes in your evaluation.

So what I would say is that you should be using AI for screening, but you need to be doing it in a structured way, meaning you need some type of database.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
30:23
Database, that could be, I mean, it could be an Excel sheet, right? It could be an EndNote database.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
30:28
It could be ours, whatever.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
30:30
You need some type of store of record for the articles, right? and you need a way to process them one by one you can use ai to process them according to your inclusion exclusion criteria and then you need to record systematically the results of every single decision so that is much different than telling co-pilot hey search pubmed and perform a systematic review based on these terms right so If you can do the former, if you can have a structured approach and a storage of all of your literature, storage of the criteria, storage of each decision, then you should 100% use any AI tool you can get your hands on to conduct the screening.

Yeah, I would say the way we do it, the senior non-technical folks love using the platform because all we really are focused on doing is automating the parts that they hate.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
47:39
which is automating the processing of all the literature, removing the duplicates, screening the articles.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
47:46
They still click through them, but now they don't have to store each thing in an Excel doc or update an EndNote field or whatever.
Ethan DrowerGUEST
47:55
So they love the structure.
Luis MaiaHOST
18:04
But it on- it works mainly with, and better as well.
Luis MaiaHOST
18:09
It workings, it works mainly and better with Zotero and Mendel, and Mendeley? Or have you tried to work with other, with other apps like EndNote or, uh, file, Paperfile?
Takaki TakemuraGUEST
18:24
Paperfile?Uh, right now, RectiEye works, uh, with Zotero and Mendeley.
Luis MaiaHOST
18:35
Mm-hmm.
Takaki TakemuraGUEST
18:35
So EndNote and Paper- Paperpile, I s- I thought about, uh, about it.
Luis MaiaHOST
18:43
Mm.
Takaki TakemuraGUEST
18:43
But some need, uh, expensive license and, uh, some don't offer a public API.

Luis MaiaHOST

Mm.
Tess Treinen SwakeGUEST

... to alphabetical to like superscript to-
Megan GrahamHOST
59:36
That's where, that's where EndNote-
Tess Treinen SwakeGUEST
59:37
It's just silly
Megan GrahamHOST
59:37
... is your best friend.
Thomas AndrewsGUEST
7:56
[chuckles] I would say that, I would say that I suffer from, uh, I, I suffer from a fair amount of disorganization.
Thomas AndrewsGUEST
8:02
I mean, I-- The basic way I tend to write is I, I take notes mostly within EndNote, sometimes just in like Word documents.
Thomas AndrewsGUEST
8:11
And then I usually just try to write up a, a really terrible initial draft.
Thomas AndrewsGUEST
8:17
Yeah, I mean, often just on like a really simple principle, like, um, something that's chronological, usually a combination of chronological and thematic.
Arun UlahannanHOST
9:12
So now what do you do with it? And this is the power of combining this critical appraisal technique with annotating and tagging.
Arun UlahannanHOST
9:21
Now, All programs, pretty much reference programs, Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, they all allow you to either put tags onto a paper or write notes.
Arun UlahannanHOST
9:35
Okay.
Arun UlahannanHOST
9:35
Now, often in my experience, I very rarely see people using these tools because it feels like just one more step to do, right? When you've got hundreds of other things to do, you've got to then think about notes and stuff.
Arun UlahannanHOST
10:00
So they all have these options.
Arun UlahannanHOST
10:01
So I mentioned some reference management tools.
Arun UlahannanHOST
10:03
You know, we've talked about this in the past, but Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, you know, they're all kind of, you know, useful alternatives.
Arun UlahannanHOST
10:10
Mendeley and Zotero are free.
