So today is Friday, January 1st, 2021, and we are at the North Coastal Sheriff Station here in Encinitas.

9:01 PM or 2101.

And a year later, my buddy graduates as a Navy SEAL, graduates from BUDS, gets his trident and goes on this 10 year adventure.

um i ended up graduating from college at the university of utah i kind of wound down a really fun career in snowboarding and i landed a job in north county san diego in encinitas and my best buddy is stationed in coronado down with seal team three so we got the band back together fast forward a couple of years glenn's winding down his career in the navy we become roommates and glenn starts contracting for the central intelligence agency so it's a pretty common transition for special operators to go to work for the government it's incredibly good pay and it's incredibly risky you're usually going to high conflict zones you're providing security or intelligence in glenn's case he worked for the cia so he was doing a lot of security detail for intelligence officers and unfortunately um he was one of the navy seals who was killed in benghazi libya so If you ever saw the movie 13 Hours, you might remember a bunch of Americans were killed on the anniversary of 9-11 in 2012, and one of them was my roommate.

That's the tragic part.

I can't imagine.
