So usu- usually at the origin of the négociant system, a winery was only focused on the production.

So as part as the wine was ready to be, uh, sold on the market, the négociant, at that time, it was perhaps 100 years ago, uh, th- uh, the négociant was coming into the winery and say, "I'm gonna buy a proportion, a percentage of your, of your al- of your wines," something that we call nowadays an allocation.

... which is 100% nowadays of the business.

And, uh, we have this, uh, system of en primeur.

So you s- you put on the market a wine which is not yet ready.
