And there is a bit of a history of this, right? Prisoners just walking out and going to the local pub and stuff.

But what we're being asked to believe is that Ivan Milat has somehow obtained, left the jail, somehow obtained transport and would have taken an hour and a half to get to Cronulla.

We have a letter from 1824 that describes it.

Sir John Jameson, who resides on his estate opposite Emu Plains, took me to see his new house.

It stands on the top of a long, gentle ascent and is certainly a noble mansion.

It is 78 feet long by 45 wide, two stories high with a spacious cellar beneath.
