Empaths and Narcissists is the conversation we're having and why they are attracted to one another.

We're joined by Hamida Basa, who is a clinical psychologist, and we have been chatting about what an empath is and what makes a person a narcissist.

When empaths lack healthy physical boundaries, they attract a narcissist to do it for them erroneously, revealing a masculine wound in their soul.

When narcissists lack healthy emotional boundaries like integrity and character, they outsource their emotional integrity to an empath to do it for them incorrectly, showing a feminine wound in their soul.

Empaths and narcissists are two sides of the same coin.

Our souls plan these relationships so the narcissist has an opportunity to learn healthy emotional boundaries and the empath has a chance to develop healthy physical boundaries.

Both sides need to grow equally and mature and to individualize adults.

And I feel that there's these two things that we need to hold.

The one is kind of the, well, you could say maybe more of a feminine energy of the Empath, the creative, that sort of deep listening and really working on the case and understanding the remedies and that whole side of it.

And then like you've got that, you could say more masculine side of like business, marketing, expenditure, planning.

All of that kind of thing.

You may find yourself giving your friend all kinds of information, and then you may find yourself saying, how am I giving her this great information that I don't even know myself? Empaths especially benefit from Reiki.

But I think that's when it gets to where I get annoyed.

It becomes like an injustice to me that all of a sudden now these girls, it's no longer favorable to... to be around someone who's always been involved in toxic situations.

It's always you and always something wrong with you.

And it starts to wear on you because empaths don't seek that out.

Empaths look for relational chemistry, relational connection.

And narcissism doesn't have that.

So they feed off of it.

The Empath.

I hated that one.

It gave me a headache.

True creativity lives between the two, breaking form just enough to let light in without burning the whole structure down.

Empaths mirror others' facial muscles automatically.

Empaths experience emotion almost as if it were contagious.

When they witness someone's expression, subtle facial muscles activate in mimicry, often within a fraction of a second.

This micro-imitation helps the brain understand what the other person feels by recreating it physically.
