I've always been a huge fan of comedy albums, and it's not fair to ask me to do a list like this.

And, like, I had, I had known Emo Phillips for his, you know, non-sequiturs.

I used to have his quotes as my away messages on AIM.

And, [laughs] and gadish, gadish, gadish, drive, walking down the street, then hope the key works, then run into, like, Emo Phillips or something, and I'm like...

So headliner gets the big room, and then the middle gets another room, and I usually have the couch.

Maybe another room for the opener but usually a couch, and you live with th- it's three weirdos together.

Also thanks to that Enterprise show, that's how I got, at the Star Trek convention, my biggest fan moment was meeting Emo Phillips, who at the time was married to an actress who w- was in, uh, a recurring role on Enterprise, so.

Oh, that's cool.

Yeah.

[laughs] It's the ex-wife he jokes about hating now apparently.

But, uh, either way, I got to bother Emo Phillips by telling him I remembered him from childhood, which they, I mean, people love being told that you've known them since you were 10.

Like, from 40-year-old men, they love hearing that.

If it was like black hair, it'd be like kind of an emo look.

Emo Phillips? Church loves Emo Phillips.

Yeah, I think he's coming to town pretty soon.

Whether it's... like Nate Bargatze, whose character is sort of a thinly veiled version of him, or Emo Phillips, who is way out there, it still starts with something that feels real to the comic in question.

Like, Emo Phillips couldn't have sold Emo Phillips if he didn't buy it as a character.

Or Larry the Cable Guy.
