Emma Corrin is playing Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden is Mr. Darcy, and Olivia Colman is stepping in as Mrs. Bennet.

A very formidable lineup.

I mean, Jack Lowden has a knack for balancing heavy drama with a very specific rigid awkwardness.

You see it in his work on Slow Horses as River Cartwright.

Oh, he's brilliant in that.

And Emma Corrin has built a career on embodying these fiercely independent, iconic women.

Their work as Princess Diana in The Crown proved they can handle massive cultural expectations.

Cause that's the thing that I really respond to in those books.

And I've really been spoiled by the 2020 Emma with Anya Taylor joy.

This kind of looks like a pretty stayed trad version of what we're doing.
