Emily BossGUEST
I did art and student government, and I really, when I got to college, I took the, my science requirements first and second quarter.

Emily BossGUEST
It was the Earth as a planet, and I did an astronomy course to just, uh, just knock it out and so I could move on with education.

Dori DurbinHOST
So how do I decide what kind of questions I should be asking? And I know it depends on what scenario we’re dealing with as far as healthcare, um, but how do I start to sort that out as a parent myself?

Yeah [laughs]

Emily BossGUEST
I mean, y- they really, like, it's really hard not to read them, and over and over again you hear from people who are very specific about their birth plans and do not let somebody give pain medication, and if they try to do a C-section, then th- you know, tell them they're trying to make money and get, or go home early, right? Like, don't let them.

Emily BossGUEST
And in fact, that's just, it's just sort of s- seeding this element of, of, uh, of trust, of like, don't, don't trust everyone, th- the intentions are wrong.

Emily BossGUEST
I'm sure sometimes th- those intentions exist even if they're implicit or hidden, but, um, but a lot of times those, those, you know, those inklings aren't right, right? Like, uh, people need C-sections if, if labor is stalled and [laughs] and the baby's i- in, in danger, right? So, um, so, so I guess that's, that's how I think trust is becoming more and more at risk.
