Embraer ERJ family

There's been so much stuff that's been thrown at us as a company that we've, we've adjusted our pipelines.

And that's why I told everybody like this, this, this Hawker is really, especially for the ERJ crowd that's waiting for that.

This Hawker and the citation 10 are really, you should be so happy that these things came first.

Yeah.

The Hawker for sure is a toolbox airplane.

It's an absolute toolbox airplane.

There's so many stuff that got built, so much stuff that got built and perfected and systems and optimization, all sorts of things that have gone into that, that we would have gotten our ass handed to us if the ERJ came, came first.

So there was a, you know, there's a lot of work done in the ERJ and then it sort of got paused.

His journey has led him to operate Apache's Blackhawk C-12s, UC-35s, and he has a master's degree in management and strategic studies.

He's a former Embraer 145 and Boeing 737 pilot.

We won't hold that against you, Terry.

and currently a 7576 pilot for Transglobal.

And we'll talk about some of how you've had to adapt and be resilient and I always use, when I'm doing university lecturing, I use FastJet as an example because when it first came into the market, and people will go and have a look in the original history, there was so much change.

And one of the things when FastJet Zimbabwe was created, which I want to get to now, and you talked about having that simplicity when it comes to the fleet type, is that for 10 years, you spent flying a single aircraft type, which is the Embraer 145.

I've got one up here.

So how big a role did that play in your success, both having a single aircraft type as a whole, but also picking that particular airline for the market that you were serving?

Because if I can share with you an experience that I have in the past in working in Embraer, doing a lot of improvement and we work on the C check on Legacy 600.

So the Embraer 135 and during a C check, we need to remove the aft fuel tank and change all the skin.

So it's, it's really, I would say painful, uh, operation, very difficult.

It's, uh, about safety.
