about the freebie, man.
Noella AndresHOST
21:26
The freebie makes so much sense because you're getting them on the email list when they're warm, they're hot, but then you're, I mean, I'm an email marketing nerd.
Noella AndresHOST
21:34
So we're like the perfect little duo here, but
Brooklyn GrotteGUEST
21:36
like, yeah.

15 MINS LATER

Noella AndresHOST
36:07
question.
Noella AndresHOST
36:08
No, it's a great answer too because it's actually what I really love.
Noella AndresHOST
36:11
I mean, I love email marketing.
Noella AndresHOST
36:14
And part of the reason why I love email marketing is because I am a data nerd and I don't like guessing at decisions.
Nicola WalshHOST
0:37
So let's dive into today's episode and make tech that little bit easier.
Nicola WalshHOST
0:45
Hello and welcome to another episode of This Mum Loves Tech and today we're talking about one of my favourite subjects which is email marketing and the changes that have been happening over the last few months and what that means about which platform could be the best for you going forward.
Nicola WalshHOST
1:02
So I just wanted to kind of highlight what has changed and the main thing is I'm talking about when I'm talking about changes is to MailerLite and its free plan.
Nicola WalshHOST
1:11
Now I absolutely love MailerLite, I still think it is the most user-friendly platform out there, however they have quite dramatically downgraded their free plan.
Nicola WalshHOST
1:22
So I just wanted to kind of cover a bit about what's changed and what that this now means for you what kind of costs are involved for using made of light going forward and why why why this matters so all the changes happened in july of 2026 you can now have 250 subscribers on the free plan that once you hit 251 you would then have to start paying to use MailerLite so 250 is still a great number once you get to 250 subscribers you should definitely be making money from your email marketing and if you aren't then you haven't got the right 250 subscribers on your list which is a whole other conversation.
Nicola WalshHOST
2:07
So I just want to kind of clarify that, that if you get to the point, if you're worried about getting to 250 and having to start paying, what you're earning from the people on your email list should easily cover the fees, is the first thing to say.
Nicola WalshHOST
2:22
But it is good to be aware of what these changes are.
Nicola WalshHOST
5:17
Or the other alternative, of course, is you just keep it to three.
Alison BellHOST

Alison BellHOST

Alison BellHOST
1:02
That's an email service provider.
Alison BellHOST
1:03
And then 102 was all about lead magnets, how to take that beautifully high performing click value laden, beautiful website.
Alison BellHOST
1:12
and gather actual emails, right? So today we're gonna get into some more nitty gritty stuff about the analytics and authority behind your email marketing.
Alison BellHOST
1:23
There's some tricks and tips on how to kind of get engagement and get that authority up on the email side.
Chris YanoHOST
50:22
So that way they had a part in their own plan that they committed to.
Chris YanoHOST
50:26
know to hit that goal that we all set together so i was always a fun time here i miss those days we get to do it on a smaller scale now with the with the company and send it send the email marketing as a main and a half you know size business which is great for being a year old business it's only email marketing and only for home services so it's pretty pretty small and pretty straightforward but it's fun you know we got you know 10 people on that team so it's just kind of like grassroots type stuff but it's fun to do that over again
Mandie HaganGUEST
50:51
For sure.
Chris YanoHOST
50:52
