In August 2025, the comedian Matt Reif and the YouTuber Elton Castee bought the Warrens' house and museum for a million dollars — The doll and the artifacts still belong to the Warrens' daughter and son-in-law, but Rife and Cassidy hold a five-year lease as what they call the legal guardians and caretakers of the whole collection, all 750 haunted items, including Annabelle.

The Warrens' house opened for overnight stays at $1,999 a night, and the first hundred nights sold out in 24 hours.

Probably because it's easier to market than Pazuzu or Beelzebub.

Well, the Warrens, being the selfless souls that they are, took the doll for safekeeping because that sounded a lot better than, "We're gonna put this thing in a display case and charge people money to come look at it." But that's exactly what they did, storing the doll inside their home/museum in Monroe, Connecticut, which was then owned by their daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tony Spera, until it was purchased by the comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee in 2025.

To be clear though, the two only own the home, and their ownership of the Warrens' collection of haunted artifacts is really a five-year lease.

And so I think, you know, Matt and I got along 'cause it was just fun to just talk about a scene and kinda come up with ideas.

Of course, paranormal TikTok has not been the same since Matt Rife and a YouTuber, Elton Castee, purchased the home-turned-museum of renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
