Elmira

And I was at a dinner recently and started talking about Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000-hour rule.

And for those that don't know about that, Malcolm Gladwell from Elmira, Ontario, not far from where I am today, wrote a book called The Outliers in 2008.

And within it, he postulated, frankly, that to become... a world-class expert in something to complete the skill acquisition and knowledge acquisition.

Research shows that it's about 10,000 hours of deliberate direct practice in that area.

Music Today's guest is Tim Shuh of Shue Orchards.

Tim is the fourth generation of the Shue Farmers in Elmira.

He made the decision in 2025 to leave the corporate world and join the farm full-time.

He's now leading the farm's direct-to-consumer sales and helping shape the next chapter of the orchard, including its growing agritourism opportunities.

It's very Waterloo Region, though, right? Yeah, it is very Waterloo Region.

We're on the corner of two busy roads, Northfield and Line 86.

So all the traffic that's going, you know, Elmira, Guelph, Waterloo, or the Tri-Cities.

A lot of it passes through right by our farm.

And today I'm so excited to have on a 44 year old from Walkerton, Ontario, Canada.

Came up as a puppy with the Walkerton Capitals before earning his way to the Elmira Shurikens and protecting young punks like myself.

He mucked it up there for one season before heading home to play junior C and kick the shit out of everybody.

He then has coached some minor hockey and whatnot.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like not want to say any names, but like, so I guess let's, I guess we'll tell a couple of fucking stories, but like when I came, so me signing, so I was trying to with list will Waterloo and Elmira all at the same time.

So all their, all their camps were going on.
