One of my favourite memories of Elliot was when he came out at his 19th birthday and I was supposed to look shocked.

I'd love to share one of my favourite memories of Elliot, and it was when he came out at his 19th birthday party at a Japanese restaurant in Chapel Street, South Yarra, to tell me in front of all his friends, they were all girls at the time, that he was gay.
