ellen white hello everyone welcome back to the women's football weekly pod ruthless man city are back to winning ways after one of the games of the season against london city lionesses arsenal coming from behind again but they still can't find the winning formula at the emirates and chelsea are they back to their best under sonia bumper store we're going to get into all of that and more with me as always ellen white how are you

i'm very good ben how are you

Well, especially good now that our special guest co-host for this week has arrived.

She was overcome with emotion after scoring her first goal for Chelsea, but...

A really nice moment for her.

Honourary mentions to Sinia Galpset, who did the classic Ellen White of falling over directly after scoring.

And was there anyone else we've missed? I mean, Tom, you didn't see any goals.

It can't be us.

And then the other podcasts like, you know, the Ellen White one and Counterpressed.

You know, it can't just be those.

It can't just be us saying, guys, please take us seriously.

And speaking of returns, return to the studio in London.

Hello, Ellen White.

London buses for us.

Oh, it's amazing, isn't it? What a treat.

And, you know, I bring this up just because in the UK, like Lionesses are being awarded caps where they didn't give a cap, you know, because just how things were in football.

But now they're giving gold caps for players like I saw Ellen White get hers in Wembley.

and it was over 100 caps and like, it takes some doing to be consistent, represent your country, which is the highest level of the game, you know? So, how do you process the 1-3-3 just from a personal pride standpoint, looking back? I

will say the thing that I said to you, like, before when we were discussing.

I 100% think the biggest challenge is that kind of this transition that the squad is going through.

Because when she first started, we were still talking about Jill Scott and Ellen White.

And now we're talking about Jess Park, Jess Naz, Erica Parkinson.

park is like all these like young guns coming into to the fold and it kind of feels like there's a there's a real concerted effort i think to kind of show that she isn't going to be that kind of like the old serena of like consistency and we know what the starting 11 is like it feels like this is a new era and i feel like she's really bedded into that so i feel i feel really excited actually especially for this world cup i i actually i don't know i think it's quite hard to like call call the squad at this point so i've

and Ellen White.

Hello everybody, welcome back to the Women's Football Weekly.

Man City at it again, but not as comfortable as it could have been.

Chelsea running right at Stamford Bridge and...

A London City Lioness is sneaking into the title race.

But, and it is a very big but, we have to start with Ellen White's quest for global dominance.

Another accolade to add into an already very impressive TV.

Listen on BBC.com or wherever you get your podcasts.

BBC Women's Football Weekly with Ben Haines and Ellen White.

Hello,

everyone.

but really excited to get stuck into a lot of stuff around the international break, as well as the WSL, which is coming back on the weekend.

With me, as always, after doing an incredible job holding down the fort without me at St. George's Park last week.

Do you know what it made me think of, that bit in Friends? Watch out, ladies, Ellen White's got the whole package, adding interviewing into the mix as well.

How was your international break? Did you have a nice break? I had an international break.

Do you know who that's beaten? The record of?

Oh, is it like Ellen White or someone?

No, close though.

Retired lioness.

I've just started a PC account.

Um, well, I started it last week, uh, and I got Ellen White as my pre-order icon on there.

Um, because if you get EA Play Pro, I think you get Ellen White as the...

Oh, you get, um, like, the Ultimate Edition kind of bonuses.

And she, I, I was, like, really disappointed.
