Dick Wolf, where did you go to high school? Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

Then I went to prep school for a year at the Hill School before I went to IUP in the same recruiting class with Andy Fife and Kim Burke.

What did you do in the summer preparing for the fall season?

Jim McTague, former Washington editor of Barron's, now a novelist in Lancaster County, driving the county from east to west to introduce us to the prices for America in the summer of 26 with inflation everywhere, especially with the doubts about gasoline and diesel fuel ahead.

Jim, you left Lancaster County, Lancaster City, and you drove to a place called Elizabethtown where you told me there's a college.

Elizabethtown Borough, a cute little turn of the 20th century town.

E-Town College is the primary attraction.

It has some factories.

I learned this from a fellow, an immigrant who runs a convenience store on the edge of town who also pumps gas where I paid $4.39 paying cash.

I live downtown here in Lancaster City, which I have for the past few years, very much enjoy.

I moved to Lancaster County from, I was going to college at Elizabethtown.

So I sort of just went to E-Town, got my history degree.

And at E-Town, I was sort of exposed to, you know, projects about these river towns with my advisor, Dr. David Brown.

So a fun project I've been working on is, uh, we actually contacted all the descendants of, uh, the 16 original founders of the trust, um, So we could sign on and have them know what's going on at present day and be involved in the trust.

So just obviously, even if genealogy isn't my number one project, I will admit it kind of blends into all my other projects I'm doing.

I'm also working on a project, an alum from my college, Elizabethtown.

His name is W. Miller Barber, and he was the second African-American graduate of Elizabethtown College.

However, applications were also received from residents in Columbia, Elizabethtown, Mountjoy, Akron, Ephrata, Stevens, Strasburg, as well as other locations across Lancaster County.

The canvases themselves took place at various shopping centers, parking lots of grocery stores and businesses, sidewalks, and parks.

Yeah, and unlike Southern California, you know, cigarettes to homeless people.

So I, of course, got into sports, was into academics quite a bit, ended up going to college and graduate school.

And eventually, after graduate school, I got a job as a professorship in Pennsylvania, which was in a town called Elizabethtown.

It's near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The really cool thing was that I lived in a house that was literally two blocks away from where the Amtrak station was in Elizabethtown.

So whenever I had the opportunity to go to Philadelphia for work or had to go to New York City or travel to Boston, I hopped on the Amtrak and took that.

So it was really kind of enjoying those rides.

I want to say a shout out to a couple of cities before we get started on today's show.
