Now, Shawn had been in the FFA before her, and he brought her into the organization, though she didn't need much pushing as she was showing up to school in a cowboy hat already.

But the FFA is where she met Jennifer Harbison, her sister, Sarah, and their friend, Eliza Thomas.

But Sarah was the one she grew closest to.

So Jennifer Ann Harbison was born on May 9th, 1974, in Texarkana, Texas, and she was the older of Mike and Barbara Harbison's two daughters, and Sarah came along two years after her.

And Sean and Angie still celebrate Amy's birthday, usually a cake at home or a dessert split at a restaurant.

And though the yogurt shop is no more, there's a memorial still there at the strip mall where it once was.

A metal plaque set into granite carries the four names, Amy Ayers, Sarah Harbison, Jennifer Harbison, and Eliza Thomas, and beneath them are the words, "Forever in our hearts." And on December 6th, 2021, 30 years to the day, people kept stopping by and a vigil was held there that evening.

And Nat Porter, who had known Eliza, spoke there, saying, quote, "I encourage everybody to speak these girls' names and just keep them alive.
