We- this is definitely a game where your safeties have to have their eyes in the right places because if they're one step late, it can be seven on the scoreboard really fast for Ole Miss.
SkeeterHOST
40:07
So, uh, we, we've seen an elevation in Greco's play and Elijah Dotson's play.
SkeeterHOST

Santana Banner's been pretty consistent, you know? So, uh, the safety play had to improve, but it seems to have improved over the past two weeks, but big, big test this Saturday.

Kinsley Luter-Faustin, one of the MVPs of Saturday's game.
Zach RameliusHOST
5:10
He was unreal, 36 snaps, three and a half tackles for a loss from, from like, your, your star spot is incredible.
John MillerHOST
17:25
And back to the gridiron, and also Trajan Greco, a much-talked-about player after the Troy game.
John MillerHOST
17:32
One thing I said about Greco is that who is the obvious replacement for him? If indeed he needs fewer snaps at the free safety position, The one player I identified as a possibility is Elijah Dotson, and I was actually maybe more on to something than I realized as Dotson actually played 17 snaps as the free safety against Kansas and also 29 against Troy this past week.
John MillerHOST
18:03
So that does seem to be a bit of a trend there to be certain while Greco is is out there with Dotson as they're both essentially free safeties, I would suppose, in a couple of two deep options, which, well, as I said, as I've said a couple times here this week, I certainly would have gone with that option at the end of the first half.
John MillerHOST
18:23
half instead of having Greco as the single high but also that was from some of those notes there from Cody Goodwin by the way over at Power Mizzou Goodwin had some good stuff on the tight end usage as well which pointed out that Norfleet Brett Norfleet that is is almost never a pass blocker so far this season now he'll get his face in there in the run game But if it's a passing play, you're not leaving him in in protection whatsoever.
John MillerHOST
24:13
But who is what then do you do? What's who is the replacement? Because to me, as I watch Missouri play football so far, there is no obvious replacement on the back end of this defense.
John MillerHOST
24:26
Perhaps it is Elijah Dotson who played more last week.
John MillerHOST
24:30
Perhaps he could be an option as a free safety.
John MillerHOST
24:33
But it sure seems to me like the Dotson, like the rest of these Missouri safeties other than Greco, the ones that they're playing a lot, whether it is Louis Dore, Faustin or, you know, any of the others, of course, Santana Banner as well.
