Eli Hemming

He had a very dominant performance there.

But yeah, Eli Hemming, I mean, he is one of the best 50K runners in the world, and you can argue he is the best, like 9 out of 10 times he's gonna win.

Um, and of course, like this really suits him.

The biggest question mark is just, like, what are his goals coming in, like, coming off of CCC? Is he here just to qualify? Um, that still could very much be a podium finish for Eli.

Yeah.

Um- On the women's side, I'm gonna go Ana Gibson in first, um, Abby Hall in second, and Ashley Brosnan in third.

And on the men's side, I'm gonna go Eli Hemming in first, Matt Daniels in second, hopefully he's running, and Chad Hall in third.

Okay.

Um, has definitely had maybe a bit of a couple of struggle years compared to his, like, last European Championship year, but still was 13th at European Championships, so really not that bad if you think about the depth of those races.

Um, I mean, Eli Hemming comes to this race as one of the best 50K athletes in the world if he's healthy.

Do we know where Eli's at? Has there been a Hemming and Hawing podcast where they go through their training? Tabor I saw has signed up for the half marathon distance.

So some depth there.

And then for the 50K, Eli Hemming.

I'm gonna-- Cade Michael's on there, but he just raced at Grindstone, so I'm not sure.

Matt Daniels, Cole Campbell, Chad Hall, Spencer Shelburg, who's a baller, just had a great Desert Rats out there this year.

I do have a very large head.

Eli has a very odd shape.

Like, it doesn't look odd.

yeah he's uh well dude you know it's it's interesting to me because um you know i'm like a psychoanalyst for stuff i'm always like what makes like what makes these people these individual athletes so good and obviously like there's there's certain traits right like who's gonna work the hardest who comes there the most fit all those different things definitely matter but i think like in some of the closing things like you can have all of these traits but you could be missing that like kind of killer closing instinct and taylor just seems like he does have that like he's uh I don't know.

I just think he's probably the next, you know, he reminds me a lot of his Eli Hemming.

I don't know what it is, but like, there's something about like, I think Eli might be like the closest thing that I can probably compare him to within the last few years that he just reminds me a lot of.

I mean, they just, yeah, like both of them, like they just like line up and then it's just like, it's hard to doubt those type of people.
