Elend Venture

Uh, so that is, uh, that is pretty, uh, pretty ineffective.

Uh, we then see, uh, this was, this was during the, I guess, Siege of Thadrax, uh, Before Vin and Ellen went in to try and negotiate and Vin got captured, we had a big battle with a Koloss force.

And we see the aftermath of that here in the cognitive realm, where the Koloss on this side are still people, which is weird and disturbing and a big surprise to Kelsier.

I love settling into the, like, nitty-gritty events of exactly what's happening during Hero of Ages.

feel like things would go downhill real fast

because it's been established that kelsier is much more on the ruin side of the personality quiz than preservation

Well, fortunately for all of us, he is slightly distracted by the cognitive appearance of one Ellen Venture.

And these two immediately kind of hate each other.

And then she leaves to talk to Dachshund about life on the plantations.

While they're talking, Vin learns about the abhorrent practices of the nobility and what they do to the Scott women, which plant seeds of doubt in her about the character of Elend Venture.

As Beyonce taught us, if you like it, then you should have put a handkerchief on it.

Put that ring on.

The Lord Ruler is dead.

A young idealist named Elend Venture has been crowned king.

Right, and he and Vin have found a seemingly stable relationship, but the power vacuum left by the Lord Ruler's death is just catastrophic.

The, the country is on the absolute verge of societal collapse.
