Elaine Welteroth

And so it's just tremendous, I think, to realize the effect someone has had on your life and on the lives of so many of us in the world.

And then I think about the fact that I grew up a fan of hers who became a friend.

She became a person I could text.

And I will never, I will never not be so grateful that I got to be in her orbit yeah

And some of

them where she's like getting out the car halfway because they're such bigots.

And I loved the Surrealism chapter was my favourite where she talked about the experience going to Frank Sinatra's house when she was with her rich boyfriend at the time.

And she was just like, these are not my people kind of thing.

When it comes to big events that happen, when it comes to creatives and business, when we talk about getting in the room, when we talk about building a network, when we talk about all of these things, sometimes I think that there can be a little bit of mystery behind how it happens.

And we'll see somebody on a stage and we'll see somebody having an opportunity or doing a thing And we're like, how did they get that? You know, not even from like a hater way, but just like, how does that happen? How does one get into such a room? How does such a thing come to be? So this episode I filmed with the lovely Elaine Welteroth a few weeks ago at Create and Cultivate in LA.

And it was such an incredible experience for so many reasons.

So

Okay, we're closing out the Creator Compound today with something a little bit different, a live podcast recording.

Up next is She's So Lucky Live with Les Alfred and Elaine Welteroth.

You're getting to be in the room for the conversation before it even lands on your podcast feed.

And honestly, I'll say this, too.

In one of the interviews I attended, Elaine Welteroth was there, which was amazing, and she had said, "Your destiny is inevitable.

You're gonna be pushed or pulled into it whether you like it or not." You can stand around and wait to be pushed into the inevitable or lean into the pull that you're already feeling, right? So let's talk about the different interviews.

I attended a really good one by Megan Hole.

You might as well take that risk.

What are you waiting for? Water's not getting any warmer.

Another talk that really spoke to me was Elaine Welteroth.

I sat for a live recording of She's So Lucky, and it was amazing.
