Placerville Council addresses fees and budget gap.

Placerville City Council approved an $80,000 transfer from general fund reserves to close out a school resource officer account, the result of the city failing to invoice El Dorado Union High School District for six years of services.

Finance staff said the district agreed to cover only half of six overdue invoices, with the rest uncollectible, though new controls have kept billing on schedule the past two years.

Council also adopted an annual burglary alarm permit renewal fee covering roughly half the city's cost of administering about 100 to 150 permits, while a broader police fee schedule update was postponed after values failed to print on the agenda.
